Oregon Fly Fishing, The Way It Was Meant to Be

Our guided fly fishing trips blend years of local river knowledge with a passion for teaching and adventure. Whether you’re brand new to fly fishing or looking to fine-tune your cast, we tailor every trip to your pace and experience level. With top-quality gear, instruction, and access to some of Oregon’s most scenic rivers, all you need to do is show up ready to fish.

On a typical guide trip, we will float 6 to 12 miles of scenic river. Floating through rapids, pools, and riffles, mostly fishing out of the boat. We will occasionally stop and anchor in the best spots; we can hop out of the boat to wade in a few spots if desired. Casting techniques, knot tying, insect identification, and reading water are just a few topics we will focus on throughout the day. We are very flexible to your needs. Communication of your trip desires is very important so we can create the best experience possible for you. We offer gourmet meals, vegan and gluten-free accommodations $20 extra.

All our trips are run safely on our 16 foot Clackacraft driftboat or our 14 foot NRS star outlaw raft

Experience Fly Fishing the Oregon Way

From smooth casts to unforgettable catches, our guided fly fishing trips are built around the river and the people on it. Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned angler, we’ll help you fish with purpose, learn with confidence, and soak in every moment the water has to offer.

Here at Oregon Angling Arts, we’re conservation-minded, we practice Leave No Trace on the river, and we take time to support local organizations such as the McKenzie River Trust!

FAQ

Common Questions

Do I need any prior fly fishing experience?

Not at all. We guide anglers of all levels — from first-timers to seasoned casters. Every trip is customized to your experience, goals, and comfort level.

We provide all rods, flies, tackle, lunch/snacks, and drinking water. Just bring weather-appropriate clothing, sunglasses, a hat, and a valid Oregon fishing license. Rental waders are available for an extra fee.

We primarily practice catch and release to protect local fisheries — especially with native and wild species. If you’re targeting stocked trout, let us know and we’ll walk you through the options.

We fish rain or shine, and some of the best fishing happens in overcast conditions. However, if conditions are unsafe (like extreme storms or high water), we’ll reschedule your trip.
